Terms & conditions
The agreement between you and us. Written to describe what the service actually does, so nothing here should surprise you once you have used it.

LEGAL_* variables in the environment and this notice disappears.1Who you are contracting with
The service is operated by —. In these terms “we” and “us” mean that entity, and “you” means the person or organisation using the service. If you accept these terms for a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
2What the service is
OCR-RUN accepts a document and returns structured data extracted from it: typed blocks, bounding boxes, table rows and markdown. It is available through the web playground and through an HTTP API.
Extraction is performed by a machine learning model. Output is a best effort, not a certified transcription. Confidence scores are returned so you can decide what to trust, and you should not rely on the output for a decision with legal or financial consequences without a human check.
3Accounts
You may use a limited free allowance without an account. Beyond that you need one, and you are responsible for what happens under it, including anything done with an API key you have issued. Keys are shown once at creation and stored only as a hash, so we cannot recover a lost key; you can revoke it and issue another at any time.
You must give an accurate email address. We use it for account security, billing, and the pre-debit notices described in clause 6.
4Acceptable use
You may not use the service to:
- process documents you have no right to process, including personal data you were not permitted to collect;
- attempt to defeat the rate limits, daily quotas or free-tier allowances, including by creating multiple accounts or rotating IP addresses to reset a free allowance;
- resell the raw API as a competing OCR service, as distinct from building a product that uses it;
- probe, scan or overload the infrastructure, or attempt to extract the underlying model.
We enforce quotas automatically. Sustained abuse can lead to a block on the identity or account involved, and we may suspend an account that is causing harm to the service or to other customers.
5Your documents and your rights in them
You keep every right you already had in the documents you submit and in the output. We claim no ownership of either. We process a document only to produce your result and to operate the service, and we do not use your documents to train models.
Storage and deletion are described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
6Plans, billing and renewals
Prices are shown in Indian rupees and include 18% GST. The figure displayed is the figure charged; tax is broken out on the invoice rather than added at checkout.
A subscription runs for the period you bought, monthly or annual, and renews at the end of it unless you cancel. Where automatic payment is in place we send a pre-debit notice at least 24 hours before taking a renewal payment, and where the amount is above the regulatory threshold for silent auto-debit we ask you to confirm rather than charging you quietly.
If a renewal payment fails, we retry over the following days and your access continues while we do. If it keeps failing, the subscription ends and the account returns to the free allowance.
Cancellation and refunds are covered in the refund and cancellation policy.
7Limits and availability
Each plan carries a daily document quota, a maximum file size, a page limit per request, a rate limit and a concurrency limit. These are published on the pricing page and returned on every API response in the rate-limit headers, so your code can see its own position without guessing.
We aim to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation, and we may change or withdraw features. Where a change would materially reduce what a paid plan provides, we will tell paying customers before it takes effect.
8Liability
The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit or data, or for decisions taken on the basis of extracted output that was not checked by a human.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
9Ending the agreement
You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account from the console. We may end the agreement if you breach these terms materially and do not fix it within a reasonable time, or immediately where the breach is serious.
Deleting an account removes your personal data and revokes your keys. Tax invoices are retained because Indian tax law requires it; they are kept without linking to a deleted account beyond the billing email.
10Changes, law and disputes
We may update these terms. Where a change is material we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. Please contact us first: get in touch and we will try to resolve it directly.
