GST & invoicing
Why the price you see is the price you pay, how the invoice series works, and what to hand your accountant.

LEGAL_* variables in the environment and this notice disappears.1Prices include GST
Every rupee figure on this site, whether on the pricing page, in the console or at checkout, already includes 18% GST. A plan shown at ₹1,999 costs ₹1,999. Nothing is added at the last step.
The invoice splits it out so your accountant sees both numbers: the taxable value, the GST on it, and the total you were charged.
2How the split is calculated
Because the displayed figure is the gross amount, tax is worked back out of it rather than added on top. For a 18% rate the taxable value is the total divided by 1.18, and the GST is the remainder. Rounding is applied once, to the final paise, so the three figures on an invoice always add up.
3Invoice numbering
Invoices are numbered in a single unbroken series per Indian financial year, in the order payments are captured. The series never skips a number and never reuses one, which is what GST rules require of a tax invoice.
A refund does not delete an invoice. It raises a credit note against it, so the original stays in your list and the series stays intact.
4Getting your invoices
Every captured payment appears in Billing with its invoice number, date, taxable value, GST and total. They stay available after a subscription ends, and they survive account deletion because tax law requires us to retain them.
5Your GSTIN
If you are registered for GST and want your GSTIN on the invoice, add it in your console settings before the next payment. We cannot amend an invoice that has already been issued, because the number is part of a sealed series, so add it first and it will appear on everything from then on.
6Our details
Invoices are issued by —. Payments are processed by Razorpay; the descriptor on your statement is theirs, not ours, so a line you do not recognise may still be us.
