Incorporation OCR
formatA CIN is the most structured identifier we handle after the GSTIN: twenty-one characters encoding whether the company is listed, its industry code, the registrar's state, the year it was incorporated, its class and a serial. All of that is read out of the number rather than off the page, so it cannot disagree with the number it came from. The year is also checked against the date the certificate prints.
